EBay allows a very simple store inventory management. If you have an eBay store, you can upload the stock with additional fixed price items which may not be cost effective to list via Online Auction or Fixed Price listing formats.
Now your Store Inventory will appear in your eBay Store. For example, Store Inventory appears in the main search results when 30 or fewer Auction-style and Fixed Price results surface.
You can also identify the listings belong to which selling format by looking in the Format column in My eBay-Selling, Selling Manager or Selling Manager Pro.
Changing formats of your listings can be done in selecting the listings you would like to manage and either selecting an action from the drop down menu in the Action column or for Store Inventory items, clicking on one of the buttons next to the “Store inventory actions” label.
Modifying the existing inventory –
- Start by selecting a single Store Inventory Format listing or multiple Store Inventory listings from the Items I’m Selling view of My eBay by clicking the checkboxes next to each listing. Then click on the Edit button next to “Store Inventory actions”.
- On the Edit Store Inventory Items page, edit the fields for each listing as needed, and click Continue.
- If you want to make the same change to multiple listings at once, click on “Bulk Edit” at the top of the page. Note: If you want to Bulk Edit, you must do this first before making edits to the Edit Store Inventory Items page. If you start by editing one listing at a time on this page, and then click on the Bulk Edit link at the top of the page, your previous edits will not be saved.
- On the Edit Store Inventory Listings: Bulk Edit page, edit the fields as needed and click Continue.
- On the Edit Store Inventory Items Page, make any other additional edits for each listing as needed, and click Continue.
- On the Review and Submit page, review your listings and fees and click Submit Listings.
You can create listings in these formats directly from Store Inventory Format listings.
Steps to Send a Single Store Inventory Format listing to Auction or Fixed Format:
- To send a single Store Inventory Format listing to online Auction or Fixed Price, go to the Items I’m Selling view of My eBay and click on “Send to Online Auction” or “Send to Fixed Price” from the Action drop-down for the Store Inventory item you want to send. (In Selling Manager Pro, go to the Active Listings view to do this.) To send multiple Store inventory Format items, select all the checkboxes of the listings you want to send and then click on the Send to Online Auction or Send to Fixed Price button next to the “Store Inventory Actions” label.
- On the Send to Online Auction: Edit or Send to Fixed Price: Edit form, edit the fields for each listing as needed, and click Continue.
- If you want to make the same change to multiple listings at once, click on “Bulk Edit” at the top of the page. Note: If you want to Bulk Edit, you must do this first before making edits to the Send to Online Auction: Edit or Send to Fixed Price: Edit pages. If you start by editing one listing at a time on this page, and then click on the Bulk Edit link at the top of the page, your previous edits will not be saved.
- On the Send to Online Auction or Fixed Price: Bulk Edit page, edit the fields as needed and click Continue.
On the Send to Online Auction: Edit or Send to Fixed Price: Edit pages, make any other additional edits for each listing as needed, and click Continue.
On the Review and Submit page, review your listings and fees and click Submit Listings.
Selling Manager can relist individual or multiple Online Auction or Fixed Price listings as Store Inventory Format listings. When the Online Auction or Fixed Price listing ends, items that are unsold will not automatically return to the Store Inventory listing they came from. However, you can a single item by going to the Unsold Items view of My eBay and clicking the “Relist as Store Inventory” link in the Action column.
Steps to Relist as Store Inventory:
- In Selling Manager or Selling Manager Pro, go to Unsold Items view. To relist a single item, simply select Relist as Store Inventory from the drop down menu in the “action” column.
- For multiple listings, select the listings you want to relist as Store Inventory by clicking the checkbox next to each listing and then click on the Relist as Store Inventory button at the bottom of the page.
- You may see a Relist as Store inventory: Review Alerts page. When a Store inventory listing is sent to Online Auction or Fixed Price, the specified quantity is decremented from the Store inventory listing. If the item does not sell as an Online Auction or Fixed Price listing, you can opt to relist this item as Store inventory and add the quantity back to the originating Store inventory listing. To do this, select the desired listings on the Review Alerts page and click Continue. Otherwise, leave unselected and the items will be relisted as new Store Inventory listings.
- On the Relist as Store Inventory: Edit page, edit the fields for each listing as needed, and click Continue.
- If you want to make the same change to multiple listings at once, click on the Bulk Edit link at the top of the page.
- On the Relist as Store Inventory: Bulk Edit page, edit the fields as needed and click Continue.
- You will return to the Relist as Store Inventory: Edit page where you can make any additional edits to each listing as needed. Click Continue.
- On the Review & Submit page, review your listing options and applicable fees, and click the Submit Listings button. The new listings will begin and run as new Store Inventory Format listings.
