The APPSeCONNECT Hackathon 2022 Experience

APPSeCONNECT recently organized its 1st annual Hackathon event- APPSeCONNECT Hackathon 2022 on the 23rd – 24th of September. Needless to say, the team’s effort has made the first-ever hybrid Hackathon a blast. All the automation champs joined in from both home and office to deliver some of the most innovative and creative projects within 34 hours. Here’s a quick look at the event!

While the event started off on the morning of 23rd September, every team was all-hands-on-deck with their preparations from August. Automation Champs made the best use of the time they got in the office to create teams and pitch ideas, to work on, before the mentors and judges. The best-featured ideas were hand-picked, and the final teams were formed to curate an event full of energy. It brought forth disruptive ideas and new technological advancements on the digital front that would deliver unique complete Business Process Automation solutions for enterprise IT ecosystems.

Automation Champs worked on some best-in-class BPA Projects

The teams were mentored by 9 veteran members, Utpal Maity, Surajit Kundu, Aejaz Habib, Suvajit Malik, Koushik Dey, Ashish Jaiswal, Kishore Kumar Barik, Saurav Guha, and Subhashish Routh, who are experts in their fields, stationed to guide the teams and help them win. They constantly advanced their expertise and worked hands-on with their teams to help them compete. Had it not been for the mentors, it would have been nearly impossible for the teams to deliver the results so efficiently within the stipulated time.APPSeCONNECT Hackathon Mentors

The most enriching, competitive, and heated section of the event was the review procedure. The APPSeCONNECT Hackathon 2022 Jury consisted of 4 panels. Panel A was comprised of Subhajit Goswami & Md Riaz, Panel B was comprised of Avijit Paul & Abhishek Sur, Panel C was comprised of Shailendu, Subhajit , Riaz & Abhishek, and Panel D was comprised of Atul, Samarendra, Avijit & Jhilik.APPSeCONNECT Hackathon Judges Each team went through 3 review processes, and the Jury panel reviewed the projects of the team meticulously and provided them with timely guidance, tips, and in-depth understanding of the scope of the projects, the approach they should take, how they can overcome the challenges and what might be the best ways of completing their deliverables. During the review process, all the team members joined, either in person or on the Microsoft team, to deliver their findings and developments. Our honorable CEO, Mr. Atul Gupta participated in all the review sessions and provided encouragement and enhancements to all the teams.

The coordination and planning among teams were well appreciated and contributed to the success of the event. To add to the excitement, exciting goodies were distributed to the automation champs. For the participants joining from the office, an elaborate spread was laid out, starting from Breakfast, Lunch, snacks, and dinner on both 23rd and 24th in the same order along with the goody bag to take home. Though the word hackathon sounds grave, at APPSeCONNECT, it is the perfect opportunity for the automation champs to align their creativity with their playful side, take charge, be the leaders and innovate away!

APPSeCONNECT Hackathon 2022 – Round up!

The event finally came to an end on 24th September and 5 teams were recognized as winners of APPSeCONNECT Hackathon 2022. Quoting the jury, the teams brought forward quality projects, and surpassed their expectations greatly. Through the Business Process Automation for line-of-business applications projects, the robust out-of-the-box features of APPSeCONNECT were used to win the hackathon. It has been delightful witnessing such ground-breaking innovation. Could not thank all the teams enough for their kind effort to create, build and deliver out-of-box solutions and enhance the business processes of a working organization.
