Content Staging is a feature that comes only in Magento Commerce. It helps the Store Owner to easily establish a variety of content updates directly from the backend panel. So, instead of creating a static page, one can easily create a collection of contents that can be easily turned ON or OFF on a scheduled basis.
The record of changes can be managed from the Staging Dashboard in the Backend Panel.
Scheduling process can be achieved using Scheduled Update or Scheduled Change feature, which can be changed according to the need.
When the contents that were staged or scheduled reaches its timeline, the contents again revert back to the previous versions. There is also an option to create multiple versions for the same contents which might be scheduled for some future dates. You will be able to review all from the Staging Dashboard timeline panel.
When contents are staged, a new campaign is being created and Schedule Change Box appears on the top of the page. Now, let’s walk across the process of staging some contents.
In order to create and schedule a particular page design, choose the necessary product or category.
Tap the “Schedule Update” button in the Schedule Change field and start configuring the campaign settings.
Consider specifying the necessary details like name, description, start and end dates. Information provided is exclusively for you and will not be displayed on the website after enabling the campaign.
By Content Staging, you have the authority of changing any Category or Page settings, adding new category image or video, product descriptions, CMS block for that campaign period.
The changes can be saved either as a new campaign or assigned to existing one by ticking the necessary option.
The contents that are scheduled can be viewed from the Staging Dashboard. Navigate in the following way: –
Content -> Staging -> Dashboard
The contents can be either edited or previewed. So, it becomes one the powerful include as it helps the Store Owner to easily manage the Promotions or Page Design in an automated way. There is no risk of forgetting to enable or disable any promotions, everything will be established at a particular time, and then, scheduled and process automatically.
